FBI chief and Yemeni president discuss opening FBI office in Arab state
San'a, Yemen-AP -- The head of the F-B-I and the president of Yemen have met in Yemen to talk about the fight against terrorism. A U-S diplomat says during the meeting, Robert Mueller (MUHL'-ur) raised the possibility of opening a permanent F-B-I office in the Arab state.
The diplomat says such an office is expected to open soon. F-B-I investigators have been living in Yemen since the 2000 attack on the U-S-S "Cole."
Mueller and the Yemeni president met in the southern port city of Aden, the scene of the attack on the Cole that killed 17 American sailors.
Yemen also is the ancestral homeland of Osama bin Laden.
