Providence Kicks Off RI Pride Celebration
(Providence-AP) -- The city of Providence kicked off the Rhode Island Pride Celebration with a raising of the Rainbow Flag.
The flag will was raised at City Hall this afternoon.
Mayor David Cicilline was to do the honors.
The Rainbow Flag represents the diversity of the gay, lesbian bisexual and transgender community.
The 28th annual Rhode Island Pride Celebration runs through June 21st.
