Undated-AP -- Deacon John Moore pays homage to the "jump blues."

Moore has been playing music in New Orleans for more than 40 years.

In the studio C-D, "Deacon John's Jump Blues," Moore honors the musical pioneers of the 1950s and early 1960s.

They played a genre of music known as jump blues, which is a mixture of Big Band and Rhythm-and-Blues.

In addition to the studio C-D, a concert D-V-D of "Deacon John's Jump Blues" is going to be released next month.
