Steve Cascione
Steve is a local resident, born in Providence on November 12 1954. He attended Classical High School and the University of R.I. where he graduated in 1977 with a BA degree in Georgraphy and Meteorology. Steve briefly attended MIT University , taking a few courses in graduate studies of weather forecasting. He moved to State College PA in 1978 and began work for Accu Weather as a forecast meteorologist. In 1980 Steve moved back to R.I. and began work for WLNE TV-6. At the same time he began a weather consulting business called Ocean State Weather which he still runs at the present time.
After 22 years at channel 6 Steve left to begin employment here at WPRI TV-12. Steve is married to his wife Rhonda and they have two beautiful boys- Alex 13yrs., and Justin 10yrs. Steve enjoys cooking and hopes to bring back Steve's Cooking up a Storm here to WPRI TV in the near future. Steve also enjoys spending free time with his family. He helps coach his boys with their hockey, and when he has time he can be found playing golf.
